Shortsea-Euro 19-20 June Antwerp

Date: 12/04/2012

Shortsea-Euro is the definitive and premier gathering for the shortsea industry. The event regularly attract audiences of around 200 senior people representing retailers, buyers of shortsea transport, shippers, receivers, shortsea carriers (liquid-bulk, dry-bulk, feeders, shortsea containers, vehicle, barge), logistics providers, ports & terminals and a range of service providers.

The 2012 event will take place in the shortsea hub of Antwerp. It begins on the evening of Monday 18th June with an informal, guided walking tour of  maritime Antwerp.

The conference begins on Tuesday morning (19th June) at the Antwerp Hilton Hotel with a keynote speech from Eddy Bruyninckx, Chief Executive of the Port of Antwerp. The remainder of the day will be filled with presentations, debate, case-studies and discussion surrounding the current and future markets for shortsea containers, feeders, roro, break-bulk, dry bulk and liquid bulk.

Always a highlight of the shortsea conference, in the evening all delegates are invited to take a boat tour of Antwerp Port. Dinner and drinks will be served during the tour.

The conference re-convenes on Wednesday morning when the main topics of the day will include the Russian markets, shortsea opportunites created by the offshore energy sector, the impact of the soon-to-be-implemented environmental regulations, the latest thinking and assistance from Brussels and more.

The cost for the entire event, including the walking tour, dinner, boat tour and two-day conference is just €750 plus VAT. For more information and reservation:
