Shortsea Promotion Centre of Flanders names ambassador

Date: 12/11/2013

During the 2013 Transport and Logistics Expo in Antwerp, the Shortsea Promotion Centre of Flanders presented awards to highlight the importance of shortsea shipping in the co-modal transport chain. One award was granted to a company and the other to an ambassador.

The award for Shortsea Ambassador was granted to the Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping (2E3S). Joke Lievens, the head of the ports and logistics unit within the Flemish ministry for mobility and public works, delivered the award to Eduard Rodés, the director of 2E3S, a European training centre specialised in logistics and intermodal transport. The award for the company was given to Corneel Geerts Transport and Tri-Vizor that bundle cargo flows to/from Spain using the Transfennica service Zeebrugge-Bilbao.
