Date: 09/12/2013

Tug Malta, established in October 1980, provides a variety of harbour towage services and offshore support services to contracting industries whether operating in the oil and gas, salvage, environmental and pollution control amongst other activities. Tug Malta Limited boasts of decades of safety performance record, trained and experienced crew and management and a modern and versatile fleet. Over the years Tug Malta has established itself as a leader in its field of port services and as a worthy and credible niche player in the Mediterranean offshore segment.

Over the years Tug Malta has expanded from just 3 tug boats and operating only within the Grand Harbour to a larger, more modern and powerful fleet of 8 tug boats capable of carrying a vast variety of towage and support services in the central Mediterranean and North Africa. Amongst these were the acquisitions of newly built tugs, the emergence into the off-shore sector and the commercial and technical knowhow it acquired. The Company is also a proud member of the International Salvage Union (ISU) and an active member of the European Tug Owners’ Association (ETA).
