The Grimaldi Group sponsors simulator upgrade and awards cadets in Malta

Date: 09/10/2014

The Grimaldi Group and Malta Motorways of the Sea presented the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology with a € 20,000 donation to upgrade its Bridge and Communication Simulator.

Furthermore, the Group awarded the three Maritime Institute cadets Kenneth Grima, Aris Giorgio Papanicolos and Philip Andrew Muscat with a prize of €10,000 for having distinguished themselves with outstanding results in their studies and sea training in the three-year Officer in Charge Navigational Watch course.

Simulation exercises offer a safe way for cadets to learn how to become proficient in bridge and communication control situations.

The cadets were also offered the opportunity to undertake their sea time training on board vessels sailing under the flag of Malta Motorways of the Sea and other companies of the Grimaldi Group.
