It was apparent on 30th of September in London, at the Lloyd's List Global Award 2014, that the project's team's exhaustive and extensive hard work truly paid off by winning the Innovation Award of the Year.

At the ceremony, together with representatives of the Project's Partners, was the Institute's President, Mr. Zacharias Siokouros, who can be seen in the below picture next to Mr. Tasos Kounoudes of SignalGeneriX, the Technical Leader of Lynceus sharing the stage with the winners of the other categories and celebrating their achievements.

In an interview with Lloyd's List after the event, Mr. Siokouros expressed his gratitude to all the partners of the LYNCEUS project for their dedication and hard work over the last three years and realizing their goal and wished for this technology to soon become a standard or, perhaps even a mandatory feature, in Cruise vessel's Lifesaving Appliances.
