Busy times for Escola europea de short sea shipping

Date: 03/12/2014

Autumn has proven to be a very busy period for the Spain headquartered Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping. The popularity of its courses, it claims, is rising. This year the Escola simultaneously reached out to students and professionals in four different countries by organising open presentations about its courses in general and by presenting the calendar of upcoming courses.

On the 11th of September representatives from the Escola presented its courses in an event jointly organized at Paris by the Escola and the Short Sea Promotion Centre of France (BP2S). During the morning the director of the Escola, Eduard Rodés, presented its various original training sessions dedicated to professionals and future professionals in the transportation and logistics, as well as provided information on the upcoming WHITE MOS Operations course for French-speakers which will take place 07-09 of November 2014.

Simultaneously on the 11th of September Núria Zaragoza from the Escola Europea de Short Sea Shipping travelled to Lisbon to present the courses to a Portuguese audience. The event, jointly organized by the Escola and the Short Sea Promotion Centre of Portugal, brought together members of the local media as well as representatives of the Portuguese transport sector.

On the 25th of September another promotional event took place in Madrid, during which the WHITE MOS Operations course, which will take place between the 21st and the 23rd of November on the crossing between Barcelona and Genoa on a short sea shipping vessel of Grandi Navi Veloci, was announced. The director of the Escola presented the course at the event jointly organized by the Short Sea Promotion Centre of Spain.

Finally, on the 26th of September the Escola travelled to Belgium, where together with the Short Sea Promotion Centre of Flanders it presented its courses in Antwerp through an Information Session. The Escola’s staff also listened to any comments, ideas and proposals regarding new collaborations for the future from the attendees. The event was open to the public, and professors from Belgian universities and training centres specialising in intermodal logistics attended.
