MSPC New Member – Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd

Date: 14/04/2015

We are pleased to announce that Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd has recently become a new founder member of the MSPC.

Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd is located in Malta and hence in the middle of the Mediterranean and forms part of Palumbo Group which currently manages 14 dry-docks. Malta falls exactly on the major trading routes between the West and East Mediterranean, and also from the Black Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, and in way to connect both the Adriatic and Ionian with the Tyrrhenian Seas, whilst also considered as a maritime hub for routes to the North African Coast. Palumbo Malta Shipyard Ltd started operating in June 2010 with 5 dry-docks and around 750m of berth, is a leading provider of engineering and shipyard services and has an established reputation in the ship repair and conversion industry, also having gained experience over the years on a diversity of vessels including but not limited to tankers, general cargo carriers, passenger liners, luxury yachts, specialized vessels, and offshore units. General ship repair continues as a core activity through competence of its employees and its infrastructure; however, the diversification into other sectors has created a stronger and more focused company, technically and commercially better able to react faster to market trends. Quality, Safety and Efficiency are the first three items of the Shipyard’s everyday agenda, whilst making our best to keep our clients satisfied.
