New Med sailing schedules for Hamburg Süd

Date: 13/10/2010

Hamburg Süd has thoroughly altered its services between Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. It now operates two (instead of three) own services on which ten ships are deployed, i.e. the North Europe-South Mediterranean Service (NESM) and the North Europe-North Mediterranean Service (NENM).

Five vessels, ranging from 2,500 to 2,700 teu, are used on the NESM, with the following rotation: Felixstowe, Antwerp, Hamburg, Tangiers, Alexandria, Limassol, Ashdod, Mersin, Haifa, Alexandria and back to Felixstowe. Valencia is replaced by the hub in Tangiers and from now on Tunis will be served by feeder, also via Tangiers. On the NENM five 1,700 to 2,100 vessels are deployed. The rotation is as follows: Felixstowe, Hamburg, Antwerp, Tangiers, Beirut, Lattakia, Kumport, Gebze, Izmir, Salerno and back to Felixstowe.
